Question format is multiple choice, including some drag-and-drop questions.
The number of correct answers is given in case of multiple choice questions with multiple answers.
There are hardly any questions with true/false answers.
There are a lot of questions with three (or sometimes two) correct answers.
Question with radio button answers means that only one answer is correct.
Questions vary from very easy to very difficult, but mostly difficult.
No credit is given for partially correct answers in case of questions with multiple answers. For knowing more about the question format, refer to some SCJP 5.0 Mock Exam. Exam is administered through a company called Prometric. They provide computer-based testing services for their clients.
Prometric has more than 4800 testing centers located in 121 countries around the world.
Test is paid for through the purchase of vouchers.
Exam voucher must be purchased before signing up at a local Prometric Testing Center.
Exam voucher is valid for a period of 1 year from the date of issue/purchase. NB: Each exam voucher is valid for one exam and only be used at an Authorized Prometric Testing Center in the country for which it was purchased. Please be aware that exam vouchers are non-refundable for any reason. Reach the testing center at least 15 minutes before the test start time, and be prepared to show two forms of identification, one of which should be a photo ID.
You can’t bring anything with you into the testing room. You will be provided something to write on and something to write with. About 30% of the questions in the SCJP 5.0 exam are Drag and Drop type. The answer gets reset if you try to review it. So, always complete and double-check your answer before moving away from a Drag and Drop question.

After you finish the test, the computer screen will display your result (whether you have passed or not). You will also receive a printed copy of the detailed results.
Within a month or so, you will receive your certificate from sun in the mail if you passed the exam.
